After 19 years on this earth I decided to go to YouTube and watch my first minstrel show. Only in 3 second reference clips had I seen one before and I felt it time to take stock of some of the past. For the first time in a year I shed tears, not for the atrocity in front of my eyes but at the fact that people like myself were around had to put up with that and if they spoke out in the very town they were born and raised they could see themselves being hung for spectacle. This song is broken up into 4 movements:
I: Depression
II: Anger
III: Bargaining
IV: Acceptance
This song is dedicated to all my people who died for just being.
Everything was written, recorded , mix and mastered by me in a bedroom in Ohio.
